Toyota finished fifth in the overall standings ahead of Kia, MG, Skoda and Honda with 7.2 per cent market share in November 2025

Toyota Kirloskar Motor registered a total tally of 30,085 units last month – registering a year-on-year growth of 19 per cent compared to the same period last year. While the annual growth figure looks encouraging, the month-on-month picture was weaker with overall volumes declining by 25 per cent against October 2025. The drop indicates the typical post-festive correction after healthy October dispatches.

The Innova range, including the Hycross and Crysta, remained Toyota’s highest-selling nameplate. With 9,295 units dispatched in November, it posted an 18 per cent increase over the same month last year. Demand for the MPV continues to stay resilient thanks to its hybrid appeal and family-oriented positioning. However, sales dipped by 16 per cent compared to the previous month of October.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder delivered one of the most notable year-on-year performances for Toyota. Its November sales stood at 7,393 units with a steep 52 per cent rise over November 2024. The strong hybrid variants continue to drive interest in the midsize SUV space. That said, volumes fell by 36 per cent month-on-month.

The Toyota Glanza also posted healthy annual growth. The premium hatchback recorded 5,032 units in November – up 32 per cent year-on-year. Its fuel efficiency and compact footprint continue to work in its favour. On a month-on-month basis though, sales were down by 18 per cent – again pointing to reduced post-festival showroom footfalls.

The Toyota Fortuner sales came in at 2,676 units during the month. The full-size SUV saw a 7 per cent decline year-on-year and an 8 per cent dip compared to October. Despite this, the Fortuner remains the top performer in its segment. Low-volume and niche models such as Hilux, Camry, Vellfire and the Land Cruiser 300 added incremental numbers.

The LC300 posted 55 units, while Camry and Hilux showed impressive year-on-year growth in percentage terms, albeit from a low volume score. The Japanese auto major is expected to bring in a number of new models including its first electric vehicle, the Urban Cruiser BEV, in 2026.
