2026 Tata Tiago EV

Tata Motors likely to roll out a few cosmetic changes for its most affordable electric car just a year after its facelift in 2025

The Tata Tiago.ev received a minor facelift in January 2025 and could undergo another round of updates later this year. Spy shots have shown that Tata Motors is working on a small refresh for its entry-level EV. According to a new report from carwale, Tata Motors is testing a new Tiago.ev with design updates like tweaked headlamps, restyled bumpers, and revised tail lamps.

These changes are not clearly visible, but a new five-spoke design for the alloy wheels can be clearly seen in the spy shots. Tata Motors offers 15-inch alloy wheels on the ICE Tiago, but on the Tiago.ev, it only offers 14-inch steel wheels featuring covers designed to give the look of alloys from a distance. The test mule of the upcoming Tiago.ev also appears to feature 14-inch stylised steel wheels. Tata Motors may introduce a new paint option along with this update.

The interior design of the Tata Tiago.ev is unlikely to get any changes. Tata Motors redesigned the dashboard and introduced a two-spoke steering wheel and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system just last year. A wireless smartphone charger is still missing in this model, but Tata Motors may continue reserving that feature for the Punch.ev and other higher-end EVs. The company may only change the upholstery and trim with the upcoming refresh.

Tata Motors offers the Tiago.ev in two variants, and we expect it to carry over both unchanged. The base variant features a 45 kW (60 hp)/110 Nm motor and a 19.2 kWh battery pack. It accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 6.2 seconds and delivers a range of 223 kilometres (certified)/168 kilometres (real-world estimated).

The top variant upgrades to a 55 kW (74 hp)/114 Nm motor and a 24 kWh battery pack, reducing the 0 to 60 km/h acceleration time to 5.7 seconds and increasing the range to 293 kilometres (certified)/205 kilometres (real-world estimated).
