Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 comes in three new paint options – Ice Storm, Vivid Violet Metallic and Metallic Silver Cyan – along with a new TFT display

New visuals, a revised cockpit and a tech boost shape Yamaha’s latest update to the MT-15 Version 2.0 for 2025 in India. The naked streetfighter now comes in three new colour choices – Ice Storm, Vivid Violet Metallic and Metallic Silver Cyan – alongside the standard offerings. Prices begin from Rs. 1.69 lakh with the top-spec DLX variant retailing at Rs. 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

A key change for the 2025 DLX variant lies in the updated instrument cluster. Replacing the earlier unit is a colour TFT screen now capable of displaying turn-by-turn navigation. Bluetooth pairing through the updated Y-Connect application brings in features such as ride statistics, malfunction notifications, fuel consumption tracking and a rider leaderboard.

The setup also includes parking history and maintenance prompts further integrating the motorcycle with its digital environment. Beyond software tweaks, the mechanical hardware stays identical to the outgoing version. The MT-15 continues with its 155 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected liquid-cooled engine assisted by Variable Valve Actuation technology.

Output figures stand at 18.4 hp at 10,000 rpm and peak torque arriving at 7,500 rpm is rated at 14.1 Nm. A six-speed gearbox fitted with assist and slipper clutch as standard to manage power delivery while traction control is also offered as a standard fitment in both versions. Supporting the motorcycle’s lean and upright character is the familiar Delta Box frame.

It works alongside the MotoGP-derived aluminium swingarm. With a kerb weight of 141 kg, the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 remains light and agile. Its braking and suspension geometry carry over unchanged as well. Ice Storm, a finish long available in global Yamaha markets, has now made its debut in India via the DLX variant.
