Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand, Vida, has added a new battery pack to its growing portfolio with the launch of the VX2 Go 3.4 kWh variant. The new model, unveiled by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, features a dual removable battery system delivering up to 100 km of real-world range per charge.

It produces a maximum power output of 6 kW (8 hp) and 26 Nm of peak torque. Riders can switch between Eco and Ride modes while a top speed stands at 70 kmph. The scooter offers 27.2 litres of under-seat storage, a flat floorboard and a cushioned seat. Speaking on the new launch, Ms. Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer – Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, said:

“VIDA has always stood for progress – combining innovation with functionality to enhance life for Indian riders. The new Evooter VX2 Go 3.4 kWh is designed for those who seek more range and efficiency in their commute — conscious of performance, practicality, and purpose. It reinforces our commitment to empowering everyday mobility and moving India towards a cleaner, better tomorrow.”

To make EVs more accessible, the brand continues to strengthen its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. The flexible ownership option allows customers to subscribe to the battery rather than purchase it outright – significantly reducing upfront costs. The BaaS program also includes pay-per-kilometre usage and different maintenance options.

The company’s rapidly expanding ecosystem further supports the VX2 range with over 4,600 charging points and 700 service touchpoints across India. The new VX2 Go 3.4 kWh variant is priced at Rs. 1.02 lakh while the BaaS plan starts at Rs. 60,000 with a pay-per-kilometre cost of Rs. 0.90 – making it one of the most value-oriented offerings in the market.
