Yamaha XSR155 is equipped with a 155 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that incorporates Yamaha Variable Valve Actuation technology producing 18.4 PS and 14.2 Nm
India Yamaha Motor has consolidated the appeal of the XSR155 motorcycle by introducing a new Metallic Black finish, priced at Rs 1,58,990 (ex-showroom Delhi). The darker paint scheme joins the existing colour options which comprise Metallic Blue, Vivid Red, Metallic Grey and Greyish Green Metallic. It enables a sportier appeal emphasising its neo-retro stance.
The new paint scheme comes with its blacked-out bodywork contrasted by gold upside-down front forks. It enhances the sculpted fuel tank, simple body panels and classic-inspired detailing. Besides the new paint scheme, no changes have been made. The XSR155 draws power from a 155 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that incorporates Yamaha Variable Valve Actuation technology.
In its latest emission-compliant form, the motor generates up to 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. Power is transmitted through a six-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch. Engineered around Yamaha’s well-known Deltabox frame, the motorcycle maintains a kerb weight of 137 kg.

Dimensionally, it measures 2,005 mm in length, 805 mm in width and 1,080 mm in height, with a 1,325 mm wheelbase. Seat height is set at 810 mm while ground clearance stands at 170 mm in unladen condition. A 10-litre fuel tank and 17-inch alloy wheels are other highlights. Suspension duties are handled by upside-down front forks and a linked-type monocross rear setup – complemented by an aluminium swingarm.
Braking performance is supported by dual-channel ABS while traction control is also present. Since its market introduction last November, the XSR155 has attracted riders seeking a combination of retro-inspired visuals and sporty performance. Commenting on the new addition, Hajime Aota, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group, said:

“The introduction of the Metallic Black XSR155 is not just about a new colour — it is about deepening our connection with riders who seek individuality, performance, and styling in one compelling package. We remain committed to delivering products that inspire pride of ownership and pure riding excitement.”
