e Vitara already on sale in European markets and headed to Maruti Suzuki showrooms next month as a direct Hyundai Creta Electric rival
The recently launched Victoris might be Maruti Suzuki’s most feature-loaded model on sale now, but the e Vitara, the company’s first EV, will further raise the bar. Here are five exclusive features that will distinguish the e Vitara from every other Maruti Suzuki on sale today:
1. Flat floor
Engineered from the ground up on an EV platform, the Maruti e Vitara will feature a flat floor that improves space and comfort. Most importantly, the middle passenger in the rear will get the same under-thigh support as the outboard occupants. Thus, the EV will comfortably accommodate five adults.

2. 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat
The Maruti e Vitara will be available with a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat that conveniently allows the driver to adjust the lumbar support, recline the backrest, slide the cushion, and alter the height.
3. 40:20:40-split rear seat
A 40:20:40-split design of the rear seat’s backrest will give customers the flexibility of partially expanding the cargo space. Two adults will be able to sit comfortably in the outboard positions, while leaving a pass-through space to accommodate extra-long items like pieces of furniture, a small ladder, or adventure gear. The rear seat will have reclining and sliding functions as well.

4. Rear multi-link suspension
Instead of a typical torsion beam suspension, the Maruti e Vitara will have a multi-link suspension in the rear. This means it will provide noticeably better handling and enhanced ride comfort compared to other Maruti Suzukis.
5. Driver’s knee airbag
In addition to two frontal airbags, two front-side airbags, and two side curtain airbags, Maruti Suzuki will offer a driver’s knee airbag in the e Vitara. This will make the EV the company’s only model available with seven airbags.
18-inch alloy wheels, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems will also be among the highlights of the Maruti e Vitara. The new EV will be available in standard-range FWD and long-range FWD variants, with the latter estimated to deliver a range of more than 500 km.
