Mahindra Sales Analysis June 2025 – Scorpio, Thar, Bolero, XEV 9e, XUV 700

Mahindra recorded a domestic tally of 47,306 units in June 2025 as against 40,022 units with a YoY sales surge of 18 per cent

After notching up steady gains through the first half of the year, Mahindra & Mahindra clocked a total of 47,306 units in June 2025 with a year-on-year improvement of 18 per cent but the month-on-month drop stood at 10 per cent. The homegrown manufacturer finished second behind Maruti Suzuki with an overall market share of 14.9 per cent amidst a gain of 3.1 per cent.

At the top of the volume chart, the Scorpio series retained its place as Mahindra’s most in-demand SUV, crossing 12,740 units in June. It registered a 4 per cent increase over last June’s numbers – though sales dipped by 12 per cent when measured against May’s tally. The Thar followed next in the pecking order. With 9,542 units dispatched, the lifestyle off-road SUV delivered a 77 per cent rise year-on-year despite recording a decline of 8 per cent compared to May.

The Bolero, another mainstay in Mahindra’s SUV portfolio, came in third with 7,478 units – a modest 2 per cent year-on-year growth – albeit with a 16 per cent month-on-month fall. Meanwhile, the XUV 3XO, despite being one of Mahindra’s newest launches, posted a softer showing at 7,089 units. That performance marked a 17 per cent drop versus June last year and an 11 per cent shortfall relative to May 2025.

Mahindra’s largest ICE SUV offering, the XUV700, ended the month at 6,198 units with a 5 per cent increase – even as monthly volumes shrunk slightly by 4 per cent. Electric vehicles continued to build momentum at the edges of the lineup. The XEV 9e stood out with 2,808 units, maintaining parity with May’s output. Its born electric sibling, the BE 6, clocked 1,203 units, holding flat against the previous month.

Meanwhile, the XUV400 slipped further down the charts, managing just 231 units in June with a 57 per cent drop compared to June 2024 and a 20 per cent decline compared to May’s tally. With just 17 units sold, it was far from a mainstream contributor, yet the model posted a 325 per cent spike over May 2025.
