Mahindra’s prominent SUV models namely Scorpio, Thar and Bolero clocked a combined sales of 29,760 units out of the total 47,306 units in June 2025

Mahindra & Mahindra retailed a total of 47,306 passenger vehicles (PVs) in June 2025 in the domestic market. The company registered a YoY growth of 18.2 percent as the total sales during the same month last year stood at 40,022 units. However, the interesting point to note here is that three models namely Scorpio, Thar and Bolero contributed to more than 62 percent of the overall sales with volumes of 12,740, 9,542 and 7,478 units, respectively. Out of the 47,306 units sold, these three SUV models clocked a combined sales of 29,760 units.

Mahindra maintained its position of India’s second largest automaker in the passenger vehicle segment behind the table topper Maruti Suzuki. Even the market share climbed by 3.1 percent from 11.8 percent in June 2024 to 14.9 percent in June 2025. However, the MoM figures were not much encouraging for the brand as it recorded a de-growth of 9.8 percent due to the volumes falling from 52,431 units in May 2025 to 47,306 units in June 2025.

Starting with the Mahindra Scorpio, it was the brand’s best-selling model in June 2025 with volumes of 12,740 units. The company had sold a total of 12,307 units in June 2024 and hence, it witnessed a YoY growth of 4 percent. It occupied the seventh spot in the list of top-selling cars in India in June 2025. The SUV alone contributed to over 25 percent in the total sales of Mahindra last month in the domestic market.

Mahindra Thar ROXX

Talking about the Thar SUV, it saw a massive YoY growth of 77 percent with a total of 9,542 units sold last month as compared to 5,376 units in June 2024. Still, it was less than May 2025 numbers which crossed the 10k mark. The sales of the off-roader has increased significantly after the introduction of the 5-door Roxx model.

Last but not the least, the old warhorse Bolero continued its golden run with sales of 7,478 units in June 2025. It saw a minimal rise in YoY volumes by 2 percent as 7,365 units were sold in June 2024. If we compare the June 2025 sales numbers with May 2025 (8,942 units), it is quite visible that volumes dropped but not in an alarming manner.
