Mercedes-Benz India sold a total of 4238 units in Q1 FY 25-26 with a sales growth of 10 percent in April-June 25 period
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the GLS AMG Line in a price range of Rs 1.40-1.43 Crore (ex-showroom) in the country. Available in two variants namely GLS 450 AMG Line and GLS 450d AMG Line, it is the German brand’s top-selling ‘Large Size Luxury SUV’ with more than 16,000+ units already sold in the Indian market. Mercedes-Benz GLS design is inspired by the iconic G-Class while the AMG elements make it even more sportier and distinctive. On the sidelines of the launch, Mercedes also announced that it has registered its best ever quarterly sales in Q1 (Apr-Jun) of FY 25-26 by retailing 4238 units in India.
Flaunting a AMG front apron, the GLS AMG Line also gets sporty and distinctive air inlets upfront. The front and rear wing flares come in a body-coloured finish along with the AMG side sill panels. The air outlets on the rear wing are complemented by AMG rear apron with diffuser-look insert in black and trim strip in chrome.
The cabin is equipped with a multifunction sports steering wheel in nappa leather and AMG sports pedals in brushed stainless steel with black rubber studs. The steering wheel is finished in black with black topstitching in 3-twin-spoke design. The high-performance SUV boasts of bigger perforated disc brakes at the front axle while the calipers are embossed with “Mercedes-Benz” lettering.

Other notable cabin highlights include gearshift paddles, touch control panels, Airbag cover in nappa leather, black floor mats with “AMG” lettering and steering wheel trim in silver chrome. Mercedes-Benz GLS AMG Line can also be availed with AMG Night Package which comprises of 21-inch AMG alloy wheels, 4-slat radiator grille in dark chrome, trim strip in AMG front & rear apron, and matte black finish roof rails.

Mechanically, the GLS AMG Line is available with petrol as well as diesel engines. The petrol variant is powered by 3.0L 6-cylinder engine which generates highest power of 375 bhp and peak torque of 500 Nm. On the other hand, the diesel variant has a 3.0L 6-cylinder motor which dishes out 362 bhp and 750 Nm. Both the variants are linked to a 9-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission while the 0-100 kmph sprint time is 6.1 secs before topping out at 250 kmph.
